1. Liquids suitable for standard operation: water, buffer, diluted salt solution and acid-base solution.
1) Press to the first gear and enter the liquid level several millimeters vertically.
2) Slowly loosen the control button, otherwise excessive speed of liquid entering the suction head will reduce the volume of liquid inverted suction pipette.
3) When the liquid is pumped out, it adheres to the wall and has a certain angle. First, press to the first gear, pause a little for 1 s, and then press to the second gear to press out all the remaining liquids.
2. Removal of viscous or volatile liquids
When removing viscous or volatile liquids, it is easy to cause large volume errors. In order to improve the accuracy of liquid transfer, the following methods are recommended:
1) Pre-humidify the inside of the suction head with liquid before transferring, that is, repeatedly suck the liquid several times to pre-humidify the suction head. It is better to stay a few seconds longer when sucking or discharging the liquid. Especially for the removal of large volume liquid (such as 1000 ~ 1), it is recommended that the suction head be pre-wetted before removal.
2) Adopt the inverse phase shifting method: press the second gear when sucking liquid, release the control button slowly, press the first gear when infusing liquid, and part of the liquid remains in the suction head.
3. Common Error Operations
1) When sucking liquid, the pipette itself inclines, resulting in inaccurate fluid transfer (should be vertical suction, slow suction slow slow slow down).
2) When assembling the suction head, too much force is exerted, which makes it difficult to remove the suction head (no need to exert too much force, choose the suction head matched with the liquid pipette).
3) Place the pipette with residual liquid suction head horizontally (the pipette should be hung on the pipette rack).
4) Use a large range of pipette to remove small volume samples (the appropriate range of pipette should be selected).
5) Direct to the second stage of suction (should be operated in accordance with the above standard methods).
6) Use acetone or highly corrosive liquid to clean the pipette (should refer to the correct cleaning method operation).
